6 Best Things to Do on a Girls Trip to Charleston, South Carolina

Join me and my friends as we embark on an exciting adventure around Charleston, South Carolina!

1. Suns Out, Buns Out

Isle of Palms Beach is a great destination for a girls' day out! It's just a short 40-minute drive from Charleston. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, and the beach is easily accessible with ample parking.

While you're there, don't forget to check out Coconut Joe's for great food and drinks on their rooftop!

2. Take a Bike Taxi Tour

Bike taxis are the easiest and fastest way to navigate through downtown Charleston. Bikers know the best routes and often share historical facts along the way. It's often cheaper to take a taxi with a group of girls than an Uber, and it can be a fun experience too.

Bike taxis will travel from the Battery to the College of Charleston, reducing a 25-minute walk to a 7-minute ride.

3. Rainbow Row and Pineapple Fountain

Rainbow Row is a charming place to visit and take pictures. You don't want to miss it. The name Rainbow Row was given to this place because of the pastel colors the houses were painted in the 1930s and 1940s during their restoration. These houses, built around 1740, were originally located on the waterfront. If you look across the street, you can see the old sea wall on the cobblestone road.

Just a short walk away is the Pineapple Fountain, a super cute spot to take pictures and watch boats enter the harbor.

4. Rooftop Lounge and Bar

End your day by enjoying amazing food and drinks at a rooftop bar. If you are looking for something different, pay a visit to Henry's on the Market! Henry's is a four-story jazz bar with incredible talent on each floor. It feels like you have stepped into an Alice in Wonderland house but with jazz.

If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, you can try Eleve Rooftop or The Rooftop at The Vendue.

The Little Palm is a poolside bar located in the Ryder Hotel that is decorated in pink and pastel colors.

5. Shem Creek

Shem Creek is a hidden gem that is often overlooked when planning a trip to Charleston. I love visiting Shem Creek for a girl's trip or a romantic getaway. You can relax and enjoy a few drinks on the beach at Muddy's Dockside Bar or listen to live music at Saltwater Cowboys. If you're looking for a nice spot for brunch or dinner, check out Tavern & Table or Water's Edge. No matter where you choose to eat on Shem Creek, you won't be disappointed.

While you're there, take a stroll on the boardwalk and enjoy the beautiful view of Hog Island Channel at sunrise or sunset.

6. Shopping of Course

Charleston is home to some of the best shopping and cutest boutiques. If you start on King Street at Calhoun and make your way down both sides, you'll eventually reach the Shops at Charleston Place. It's a must-visit destination that houses some of the finest shopping stores in the area. Such as Louis Vitton, Gucci, Kate Spade, Tommy Bahama, and many more.

On King Street, there are numerous shops, but let me share with you some of my favorite

boutiques!
