Boise National Forest

What a place! Boise National Forest is a 30 min ride up a windy road with the most incredible views. You start out in the foot hills and as you gradually incline you start to see tall, green trees that tower the roads. The air is dry and the smell of pine is so clear that if you close your eyes it feels like Christmas. Once you reach the top you come to Bogus Basin Recreation Association, a non-profit organization. In the winter it is a ski resort that offers tubing, skiing, and much more. However during the summer this mountain is full of biker’s and hikers that start on the top of the mountain by using the ski lift and then going back down. The trails are windy as you go down and the incline can be steep at times, but the view is breath taking. Wild flowers fill the mountain side and streams of water just appear from the ground. The tall grass against your lower legs as you make your way around the next big tall green tree, that looks like a dream. A feeling of freeness overcomes you and you let go of everything that weighs you down. What a place indeed!
