Letting Go of Fear and Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

If you can't tell in this picture, I was as happy as I could be!

My last day in Seattle, Washington, we went to Pike Place Market one last time. We desperately needed some good coffee, and I knew there were plenty of coffee shops there. As we made our way around the market, we came across the fish market. This is the famous spot to watch them throw fish back and forth, I highly recommend watching! Earlier during my trip, I had captured a video of them throwing the fish, and so I planned on asking one of the fishmongers if I could get a picture of him holding the big fish. He looked at me and said, how about you hold the fish instead! This was definitely a very cool moment for me and yes, the fish was heavy — it was a King Salmon. This fishmonger had made my day, and the picture says it all.

Later on, we started making our way back to the car and I started to think to myself. If I hadn't asked, I never would have experienced such an awesome moment. I then started thinking about that more and asked myself, how many other opportunities have I missed because I was too afraid to ask or take the leap. Moral of this story is, don't let fear stop you from taking that next step, or asking someone to take a picture of you. Get outside your comfort zone, there is a whole world to discover and TAKE THE PICTURE!
