Okay, let’s talk consignment!
I am always asked where I buy my clothing from and to everyone’s surprise, I say consignment shops. YES, this red velvet dress was $10! I would say about 80% of my wardrobe is from consignment stores. From clothing to shoes and even those beautiful earrings that look like they cost $30. Shopping consignment is not always easy because you run into the problem of so many brands and each brand fits different. I stick to a few local consignment shops that I know and hands down my favorite is Uptown Cheapskate! They hand select brands that they trust and clothing that is in great condition for resale. Knowing your measurements is also very important. Walking into a consignment store can be a little overwhelming and sometimes you might not always know where to even begin. Uptown Cheapskate organizes their clothing by type and color, therefore making it easy to run in and find the pretty little pink tank top to go with your date night outfit.
