Girlfriend Getaway in Dallas

A couple of weeks ago me and a girlfriend went exploring in Dallas, Texas and it was an absolute blast. Dallas is probably my favorite place in Texas so far and is definitely the best girlfriend getaway destination.

Here are a few spots we explored!

The Giant Eyeball

Location: 1601 Main St, Dallas, Texas 75201

This was our first stop and it was a big one ;) Pictures don't fully do justice to just how big this eyeball was.

Location: 1514 Elm St #611, Dallas, TX 75201

This was our second stop in Dallas. This Rooftop bistro is a little tricky to find at first but it is located in downtown Dallas within a building complex. It offers an indoor and outdoor patio Vietnamese experience They have dumplings, Salmon Clay Pots, Blossom Tacos, and much more. We ordered the frozen margarita flight which is only $15 for four different flavors.

Hours: Lunch 11 AM - 3 PM and Dinner 3:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Happy Hour: Monday - Friday from 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Location: 2823 Main, Dallas, TX 75226

This is a great stop for amazing food and views, located in the artsy Deep Ellum district. The main restaurant is located on the lower level and then upstairs is a roof top lounge/bar with live music. We ordered the 'The' MXM Burger, Brisket short rib double double L.T.O.M, thick bacon with sea salt fries and the Deep Ellum Spicy Chicken Sandwich: Crisp thighs, house pickles with sea salt fries. Probably the most messiest things to order on the menu but absolutely worth it.

Brunch Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 11am til 4pm

The Joule

Location: 1530 Main, Dallas, TX 75201

If you have time, run into the Joule Hotel off of Main Street. The lobby is full of very neat art and of course, snap a picture in the Times Magazine mirror. Towards the back of the hotel is a library and coffee/bar, both are very unique.

Dallas Farmers Market

Location: 920 S Harwood St, Dallas, TX 75201

This was a unique spot and right in the heart of the Historic District, so all the buildings surrounding the market are a bit older and have history. Unlike most markets I have been to, this market is open every day during the week. A 26,000 square foot food hall and vendor market containing four anchor restaurants, a mixture of local specialty foods, food vendors, and seating areas both inside and out where you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in a view of the Dallas skyline or observing the market-goers.

I love supporting locals! My market find was this guy selling vintage tees (which I am a sucker for), So I snagged a Guns n Roses Tee. Market Hours: Sunday through Friday 10am – 7pm and Saturday 9am – 7pm

Deep Ellum District

Location: Dallas, 75226

Most definitely my favorite part of Dallas, was the Deep Ellum District. Very artsy and full of life.
