Right off the Boise Greenbelt is the Sandbar. A patio grill located at the Riverside Hotel in Boise, Idaho. This unique restaurant offers live music, happy hour, and food to die for. I ordered the Surf Shack Tacos and let me tell you about these tacos! 3 street-style tacos with ancho white fish, shoal slaw, cotija cheese, onions, cilantro & avocado creme, served atop corn tortillas & presented with pico de gallo. It was fresh and seasoned so well that just looking at this picture makes me want to fly back to Boise for these tacos. Keep in mind that tacos are usually messy, however the messier the better. These Surf Shack Tacos lived up tp that messy expectation. They had a hint of spicy flavor but not too much to take away from the cilantro, avocado, and well seasoned ancho white fish. The service was amazing and our waitress was very friendly. She knew the menu very well and how to describe the food before it came out. Happy hour is from 3pm til 5pm and 9pm til 10pm during season. $2 off shareable’s, $1 off beer/wine/well, and not to mention dog friendly.
