What to Pack For a Cold-Weathered Trip

Taking trips to cold weather destinations can be difficult at times. You want to be warm but still cute - not looking like the abdominal snow man. Packing for winter destinations can also be tricky since it is usually bulky clothing. Here are a few things I bring with me and a few tips for your next cold weather destination.

Essentials

1. Knit Cap - Always a good thing to carry with you to keep your ears warm.

2. Wool Socks - Invest in some wool socks, trust me! They keep your feet dry and warm.

3. Thick Scarf - The best accessory to spruce up your outfit, and it keeps you warm.

4. Wide Brim Hat - Not only do hats keep you warm, but this wide brim hat is stylish too.

Outerwear

5. Waterproof Jacket - Be sure it has a hood. You never know what the weather will do.

6. Pull-over Jacket - Great for hiking and very breathable.

7. Quilted Jacket - This is the perfect jacket for hiking, camping, or everyday use.

8. Heavy-Duty Jacket - Definitely a must if you plan to be in snow or below 40 degree weather.

Layers

9. Basic long sleeve sweatshirts - You can never go wrong with basic sweatshirts.

10. Long Sleeve Oversized T-Shirt - I love traveling in these shirts, super comfy!

Pants

11. Denim - Super versatile for any outfit.

12. Leggings - The perfect under or outer layer.

Shoes

13. Hiking Boots - Make sure they are waterproof!

14. Duck Boots - Great for hiking in colder climate and snow.

15. Combat Boots - Perfect for everyday wear.
